Tulsa - loses again - can't beat anyone good

Poor Hurricane or Golden Breeze or whatever they are



They have now played and failed to beat 4 Top 10 teams. They have beaten everyone else. Houston held them to 16. If we can hold them to 16 - we have a shot.

Houston is the new BCS Buster if they can just survive an otherwise meaningless Conference Championship game. This is exactly why Texas wants the Big 12 to stay at 10 teams.

I thought this was going to be a parody thread of those "BYU has no signature win = BYU must be a bad team this year" comments. Looking at Tulsa is like looking in a mirror.



For what it's worth, I think Tulsa is a good team. The margin of victory today speaks well of Houston's legitimacy as a BCS buster, but the fact that Tulsa waited until the end of the game to fall apart speaks well of them, too. I'd be happy if we could close out the season with a win over them.

So, what are the chances that we end up facing Tulsa in the Armed Forces Bowl?

Pretty high. They probably beat us too.

I think we'd matchup well against Tulsa. It'd be a tough game for both teams.

It seems almost certain now that we will play Tulsa and it should be a great game. I expect oddsmakers will have it as a small spread. We may be favored slightly If we beat Hawaii - but considering who Tulsa lost it's 4 games to - maybe it ought to be us as the slight dog - especially playing in their back yard.

I don't know. The last time we played in Texas against a team from Oklahoma I remember it ending up pretty good.
