Re Watching the NMSU

On Heaps int, that was his second read. He looked at the slant/crossing route guy first, then came off of him to the out. He should have thrown it to the crossing route. Since he chose to throw it to the out, he should have thrown it to the outside shoulder, and not he inside one.



One of Heaps' weaknesses from what I see, is he sometimes makes the choice on who he wants to throw to depending on which route he's more comfortable throwing. He likes to throw outs a lot.

Yep. He needs more practice, more film study, and more game time scenarios....but he has the ability to make every throw in the book. Just needs to get there. Hope he does.

hmmmmm really? he likes to throw outs a lot. . . i hadn't noticed :P

Doman likes to all them a lot too. Luckily, that changed later in that game.

Also, more Sampson on the field is a good thing.

McCann isn't very good as a commentator. He didn't know who Matt Edwards was on his TD. Not just that he was coach Edwards grandson, but also who he was. He even admitted he didn't have his name on his sheet. The ESPN announcers knew as soon as he caught it. They had to go to Robbie Bullough for the story on that.

That's why I believe that Doman tipped off ESPN to that play the day before.
