First off--New Mexico actually led WY in the second quarter and the Bottom Five was on upset alert! But then NW got its act together and gave up 24 straight points to lose 31-10. Let's say this is enough to put the Lobos at No.2.
Number one goes to UNLV..They lost to the Lobos after all last week and this week lost to Air Force, gaining only 41 yards in the air. Running team AF passed for three times that amount.
Specil pause and commendation to give a Hats off to Hair Thompson for the MWC capturing the one and two spots on the Bottom Five! Well done Hair! Well done!

No. 5. The sinkingiest ship of the year award goes to Arizona State. The have lost three or four straight--I don't know and don't care given they don't care either--and can about write themselves off of winning the Pac 12's southern division.
No. 4. The sunk ship of the year goes to Colorado. They have given up 461 points and they still get to play Utah at Utah. It is rare for a school to give up 500 points in a year. But then again not so rare--NM has given up 476 points and get to go play BSU at BSU....Do oddsmakers ever spot a team 75 points?
No. 3. Instead of beating up some foresaken school let's do a shout out to the religious schools! Notre Dame beat BC! BYU beat NMSU! Presbyterian beat Charleston Southern!Holy Cross beat Fordham! I know SMU lost their big game to Houston, but it's not like they got the crap beaten out of them like Al Quada is taking it on the Pakistan Afghanistan border. So chin up Mustangs! It could be worse!
