Oklahoma State Bites

the dust on a day when their hearts already hanged heavy due to the death of women's coaches in a plane crash. They lot in OT to Iowa State who is having a decent year - one of those pesky 6-6 teams we would be playing if we were in the Big 12. IN fact - we would be one of those teams.



BCS TItle Chase getting interesting as usual. I would love to see Houston end up being the only undefeated team. Interestinglly, Houston is where they are becasue their QB got a season ending injury early in 2009 while chasing down a defender on a picked off pass and blew out his knee - Jake heaps probably saw that game. He got a medical redshirt or he would already be graduated now.

I think the kick at the end of regulation was good, but either way it was a crazy finish. I hate to see it happen, though, because we're one step closer to a rematch of one of the most boring games this year.

Oklahoma St was BYU 2001. Very good offense. Poor defense. A defense that you couldn't count on to make stops and plays when you needed them most. They gave up 568 yards to Iowa St. BYU hasn't had that much offense since New Mexico in 2009. They averaged (before yesterday 442 yards of offense allowed). BYU in 2001 average 417 allowed. They give up 27.3 ppg very similar to BYU in 2001 at 28.3



It was only a matter of time before they lost. LSU or Alabama would have KILLED the Cowboys.

I respectfully disagree. When Ok. St. prepares for a game, they kill it (see the Texas Tech game as an example). This is a classic example of looking past an opponent to a much bigger game. Ok St. thought the only hurdle left was beating Oklahoma and they didn't even think about Iowa St.

It was a classic example of a team that doesn't have a good defense that couldn't get a stop when they needed it.



But yes, they also looked pass Iowa St.
