Worst week in Sports history?

here's my list:



Penn State loses its luster and honor in massive cover-up sex scandal. PSU fires Joe Paterno (THE Joe Paterno!) by email?

NBA in full disarray, likely lost last chance to salvage the season and rapidly plummeting popularity.

BYU loses bobby Wolford... OH NO PANIC....okay fine , that's relatively minor...

Indy BYU has not much to play for in lackluster back-end schedule.

Astros to Alabama and the AL? really?

BYU fans getting excited to join the Big East? The third most-ridiculed conference by BYU fans behind the Plaque-12 and the MWC? (so there are some benefits and I'll be excited about it when/if it happens; still...)

BYU starting QB gets injured and no one is worried about our season. not sure which is worse.

OSU coaches lose their life in a fatal plane crash



A couple runner up weeks that might beat the sum total of this week:

Marshall's football team crash killing virtually all players, coaches and the team.

I just read about this today and was amazed at the victims allegations. Sexually abused continuously for 12 years with instances of molestation happening into his late 20's (27 specifically, he's 38 now).



At what point does molestation turn into consensual gayness between two grown men? Just throwin' that out there.

The Fine situation is very different. Fine is still at the allegation level. We didn't know anything until Sandusky was actually charged and arrested. Sandusky's legal troubles are much further along and more serious. He was charged and will face trial on 40 counts.



Fine isn't that far a long and I think deserves a little more time before we have the rush to judgement.

You forgot the Syracuse BB scandal.

Cough Claw--you only needed the first item on the list to make this week right up there with the worst. Marshall is probably the only other thing I can think that exceeds PSU.
