Talk about your dream scenario! Frankly, I just don't see it happening and the author seems to be speculating more than reporting but let's get THIS rumor turned into reality!

Pipe dream for sure. I do not see it, unless BE plays 7 league games. That would allow ND to keep 5 rival games with Michigan, Mich. State, BC, Purdue and USC. I could see them dropping Stanford or even Mich State if they needed to, but not the other 4 games. Those, along with Navy, are off limits for ND football.



IF anything, this might give BYU leverage to extend the ND series, and to try to equalize it. 4 for 2 sucks. A 3-2-1(neutral) is much better.

I wouldn't be surprised if we just started scheduling the 1 for 1s with them. they need the big east to stay together. byu is the linchpin to that happening.
