BYU Lacrosse 2012

The BYU men's lacrosse team is playing fall-ball (unofficial season) right now. They are currently at the Best of the West tournament in Las Vegas waiting to play in the championship game against the Arizona Wildcats. To get there, they beat Occidental, Cal Poly, and UCLA earlier today.



PS-BYU Lax also got a shout-out from Jimmer a few days ago on Twitter: "Just in the weight room with the byu lacrosse team. They go hard, that's why they won the title last season. Looking for a repeat!"

BYU wins the Best of the West with a big win over Arizona. Great way to end their fall season and carry some momentum into the spring!

BYU wins their first game of the season in underwhelming fashion against lowly UNLV, 12-8 final score.

BYU rolls Donkey St. 15-3. Wondering if the offense is a little anemic this year or if Coach Schneck called off the dogs.

#1 Cougs picked up a good win today vs. Canadian university Simon Fraser (#18) 14-10.

#1 Cougars roll easily over SDSU, taking an 11-3 lead into halftime and finishing off the game 16-5.

Two big home games at the end of March: the 24th vs. #8 Oregon and the 30th vs. #2 Arizona St.

Cougars erase a five goal halftime deficit and beat #4 chapman in double-overtime! Great game and a good early-season win.

On temples?

#1 Cougars dig themselves too deep a hole to get out of vs a good Cal-Poly team (#7) and fall just short in a furious comeback, 10-9.



The boys in blue will have some time to lick their wounds as their next game isn't until March 9 vs a very bad New Mexico squad.

After a long layoff, the Cougars roll at home past UNM, 27-2.

On their trip to Minnesota, the #3 Cougars roll past unranked Wisconsin 21-9 and #15 Minn-Duluth 16-8. Next game is Monday vs. MSU Mankato.

Cougs bring it in a big way and sweep their road-trip, downing MSU Mankato 29-9.

#3 BYU stomps all over the #7 Oregon Ducks in the second half, final 21-11.

In a rematch of last year's national championship game, #4 BYU will be taking on #6 ASU tonight, 7 pm on the North University Field.
