BCS Title game

I may be looking a bit early here, but who do you think will be playing in the Big Game in January? Will a team from the SEC be in there? Will we have two teams, neither undefeated? Can a non-AQ team enter? Will we have two non-BCS teams contending for the No. 1 spot? :skeptic:

Realistically, I hope it's Ok. St. vs. whoever comes out of the SEC (because we all know the SEC champ gets a pass to the championship game). But what I'd REALLY like to see would be Case Keenum and the Houston offense against the highly-touted defense of the SEC.

Actually, I realistically think that it's going to be Oklahoma St vs. Stanford. However, I would LOVE to see BSU taking the field against Houston. Two non-AQ teams in the National Championship game. Who would have thought that it would ever happen?

I think it will be Alabama-Oklahoma.



Oklahoma runs the table.

Stanford loses to Oregon.

LSU loses to Arkansas. Bama ends up playing in the SEC championship game due to tiebreaker rules.



Oklahoma vs. Bama in the championship game.

Boise gets the shaft.

Whoever wins the SEC title is in. Period.



The remaining spot will go to a BC$ school, personally I would love to see BSU go up against LSU's D, but it is never ever ever going to happen because the non-SEC-BC$ schools would melt down if their top-5-ranked team got passed over for donkey state.



So basically it's down to Stanford, Oklahoma St. and Oklahoma.

- Stanford plays Oregon (today) in Palo Alto, the rest of their schedule is easy.

- Oklahoma St plays at home against Oklahoma in a few weeks, and at TTech this week.

- Oklahoma plays on the road against OKST in a few weeks.



So basically if Stanford and OKST win out, it's between those two. If Stanford loses to Oregon AND OKST loses to TTech AND OK beats OKST. Then maybe Boise gets a shot. But I doubt it.

Ok, here's how it's going to go down. LSU will lose to Georgia in the SEC Championship. OK St will lose to Oklahoma who will lose to Baylor. Stanford will lose to Oregon. The final Coaches Poll will be be 1.Alabama 2.Boise 3.LSU. The final Harris Poll will be 1.Alabama 2. LSU 3.Boise. The Computers will favor LSU over Boise and Alabama will play LSU for the National Championship.

By the way, that would make Georgia ineligible for a BCS game despite being the SEC Champion.

Yeah, I don't think any non-AQ team really has a chance. Boise has a better shot than Houston, but Alabama is ranked better than both of them in the BCS standings. The best team they're playing for the rest of the year is Auburn, and right now, they're ranked 24.

Yeah, neither non-AQ will get the nod, no matter how much they might deserve it. I do think that Houston is better this year than BSU, though.

Since the best team in Texas is Houston, unless it isn't - it is unfortunate that regional rivalries are so forgotten. Houston Vs A&M, TCU, Texas, T Tech, SMU, UTEP, Rice, then throw in Okie, Okie State, Arky, and a couple of out of area teams and put the winner in the playoffs.

Or better yet, if LSU loses to Arkansas?



Also, is undefeated Houston in a BCS game? Is TCU in Vegas? Is Boise in San Diego? Is Utah... ah, who cares about those guys.

Yep. The BCS should just write a bylaw: Unless all SEC teams have two losses, an undefeated SEC team will play in the National Championship Game and two 1-loss teams will play each other.
