Beck sacked 9 times!?

Did ANYONE see this game? Was John holding on to the ball too long or was the Redskins Offensive Line just swiss cheese? I believe John can be a good QB in the NFL, but he needs a decent chance to succeed! Losing your best receiver, your only real running back, your TE and more certainly doesn't help... Did the O-line contribute to the problem as well?

I watched it and beck got destroyed. He never had any time. All the good players are hurt its gonna be a rough year for Beck and the Redskins.

Has he ever played behind a decent O-line his entire NFL career?



Seems like he's always stuck behind some o-line that just lost all its wheels.

How about his INT's? Solely his fault, great plays by the DB's, tipped passes, or what?

I didn't see the INT's, but that O-line is atrocious. And think about this, Beck is the more mobile of the two QB's there, Grossman would have gotten sacked a handful of more times on top of that.

One INT on a tipped pass the other saw his receiver stumble over his own feet and fall down. The second was thrown into two deep coverage.



The Redskins only attempted 8 running plays. The O-Line is patchwork right now. The play calling is to blame for the offensive struggles. No running plays enables the D to pin their ears back and go after the QB. All of the pass routs were slow developing "Home Run" type balls. No quick slants or screens. Shame on the Skin's coaching staff for not providing a game plan to help Beck be more succesful.



Beck took over for Grossman because he was supposed to be the mobile QB with better ball security. It doesn't appear that is the case. Beck holds on to the ball too long and has thrown 3 picks and has 1 fumble in his two starts. Grossman had 13 picks and 5 fumbles in his 9 starts, including 4 picks in his last start.



I have been a Redskin fan my entire life, and have wanted Beck to get his chance, but he will fail in this current situation. The Skins don't have the line to protect him, or the coaching to scheme for him. A good O-Line is the difference between winners and losers in the NFL.

To be fair, the fumble was not at all his fault. The D-end did a simple rip move and came essentially untouched off the edge. Trust, as well, that Grossman would have been sacked around 15 times last night.

Announcers also mentioned that two starting 0-line were injured in addition to Moss and Hightower.



Troy aikman was announcing the game and said some very complementary things about Beck. especially given his ability to stand tall in the pocket and deliver strike after strike even after his 20th knockdown.



They were clear that this was no way to evaluate his play and to be fair, I thought Beck held onto the ball really well.



The sad thing is. The Bills were supposed to be a "weak" defensive team. If they can sack the QB that many times...what's going to happen when they play against the Lions or the Giants.



Beck's uninjured days may be numbered.
