First of all, that angle wasn't the best one to see it - it was the reverse, low angle that was the best on this play. Second, it was pretty clear to me from that particular angle that neither knee touches before the ball does, and the ball touches the ground across the plane of the goal line. Third, trying to prove a point like this with a still is retarded. When you actually play the video, you can clearly see the ball cross the plane just before 0:14, and you can see that the legs are still moving at that point, and that their motion changes due to impact with the ground after 0:14. Fourth, talking about likelihood is equally stupid for an event that has already happened. Is it likely that he went that far without touching the ground? Perhaps not, but he did it, so likelihood is irrelevant. Fifth, the ref on the play made the right call. The guys in the booth upheld it. All evidence we have at our disposal upholds both of their decisions. And ignoring that evidence does not make anybody more "objective" or "realistic" a fan than accepting it does.
Case closed.
