Anyone else want another shot at TCU?

Maybe on a natural grass field?



I think this would be a 7 game series if college football had an NBA style playoff system. (which would be absolutely brutal)

Absolutely, I'm just really sad we blew that only one that mattered...

fact is, good teams don't need a second shot. And even if we got one, I doubt the result would be very different. For BYU to beat a good team (not the drivel we play 90% of our games against), we have to play a complete game. Between inconsistent coaching, dumb turnovers, special teams gaffs, occasional massive defensive let downs, etc., BYU just has too much inconsistency to play a complete game against a good team. If it isn't one thing, it is another.



Consistent clutch defensive stops but offensive miscues and anemic play



Offensive consistency and progression with defensive and spec. teams let downs.

True, But break this game down and BYU wins in the second half. One more half (consider it a third game) and who knows who wins 2 of 3.



Totally agree though, BYU needs to learn to win the first 30 minutes against good teams and finish the last 30 against bad teams.

TCU was much more conservative in the second half. Definitely seemed to take their foot off of the gas and started pounding the ball and working the clock.



We still seemed to have several chances to get back in the game though and I think that might be why it might seem like we could take them with another half or another game etc. But the fact that we capitalized on so few of those chances makes me think it probably wouldn't make much difference how much more time we got.
