Punt team or riley nelson? I'm blaming that one on nelson. Two bonehead plays inside the 20.

Riley Nelson's interceptions cost us 3 points. Stevenson's blown punts cost us 21 points. There is no question where this game was lost.

3 points? Well the pick in the endzone that's 7 and then that stupid ass lateral thing cost us a possible seven. One of those special teams plays was negated by the falslev return. Nelson lost that one.

Riley threw a pick inside the blue zone and then the lateral on the screen pass. Those mistakes were critical. Left alot fo points on the field tonight.

Don't forget the defense who shouldn't get a free pass. Ogletree's personal foul set the tone for the game. The refs didn't help BYU with their inconsistencies.

You can't say that BYU would have scored on those drives if we don't turn the ball over. You can say that TCU scored on all 3 of the punt plays that were blown. You just simply can't say that BYU scores on all of those drives. You miss field goals, You get FG's blocked. Yes they were missed opportunities but the free 21 points literally cost us the game.

The Defense played well enough to win this game tonight. The punting game makes me sick to think when I think what if. Riley, please oh please learn when its ok to take a sack. You cant be a hero all the time.

While both were ill-advised throws that should never have been made, both throws could have easily resulted in completely different outcomes. The interception hit the receiver in hands and could have been a TD and should have been pass interference. On the lateral, I thought the receiver was a little nonchalant in coming up with the ball.

Punts cost us dearly. QB play in the redzone cost us dearly. The penalty calls were very spotty but did not cost us like the first two problem areas. TCU isn't that great. BSU will destroy them.

Isn't avoiding turnovers a basic function of his job? It's basic quarterbacking, throw the ball away, or hold onto when you're going down. Still a better performance than against AFA last year, but not going to win him any votes in the "who's better, Nelson or Young? " debate.



Also, I'm not sure how someone blames the refs for the loss more than Riley Nelson?

I guess that rules out Zed Mendenhall.

Let's blame Jake Heaps. Just a well enjoy blaming him now because he won't be here next year, and I can't fault him. Time will tell, but this will be one the biggest blunders in Cougar history, which Cougar Corner faithful seem to embrace....

If Heaps leaves the only person responsible for that is Heaps. Only he has the power to make that decision. I certainly hope he doesn't.

I can only think of 2 actual scoring drives by TCU. Their others were short fields courtesy of BYU errors. The two botched punts and two redzone TO's represent a 28-point swing in the game.
