SEC website jumps the gun??

Looks like someone went to the SEC website and types in Missouri and pulled up an announcement on their membership. Except, it was never officially released. Yet. Most salient point is that the SEC states Mizzou joins July 1, 2012.

I think its litigation. big12 having hard time filling their spot for next year. i suspect byu is the cause of their problems. missou wants out now, big12 says you have to wait until we fill your spot or you cause us some serious damages.



if it is true that byu has a conditional offer if they drop their 'demands' then byu might be winning this game of chicken.

Sound like wvu was made official today with louisville possibly coming right behind. my guess is big 12 is in negotiations with big east to not destroy their conference if they agree to let wvu play in 2012.

ESPN still reporting no WVU in until 2014 though. Also hearing that UL might be football only, which would be really interesting. If that allowed ND to come in for all other sports, I think BYU jumps on that Big XII offer fast.

I think BYU can make a HUGE statement tonight to the B12. And I'm not talking about on the field. If we can put a lot of butts in the seats tonight it will send a message to the B12 that this is one bus they want to be on. I assume TCU will be luckly to fill even half the statdium (heck they can't fill thier little one), so if there are a lot of BYU fans there it will be a nice feather in the BYU cap regardless of what happens on the field.

i dont see us having as strong a showing as we did at ole miss and texas. i think most picked out of those two games to travel to.

Even if BYU fills half of TCU's stands, that's like what, 100 fans? I can't imagine that making a statement to the B12.

Might be a empty stadium. I've heard there's a semi-interesting baseball game that's of local interest to Arlington tonight.

Yeah, but it is still baseball. Game 7 of the WS still does not pull huge numbers because it is baseball. I;d rather watch a semi-interesting football game over baseball on TV any day.

Not sure, but perhaps the new $10M buyout clause in Big East drops the 27 month notice requirement.

This game is not at TCU. Neutral site. Jerry's World in Dallas where we beat Okie a couple of years ago. Huge stadium.
