BoiseBYU5. When the season started, ESPN analysysts said Notre Dame was the best of the new up and coming teams. After they lost their first game, they were the best one loss team. After they lost their second game, they were the best two loss team. And Saturday morning they were the team that did not have a game left on the schedule that they would lose. Then they played another game and....LOST. SO until the brainiacs at ESPN give up their infatuation with ND, they will be on my Bottom Five list. So No. 5 goes to Notre Lame!
4. One of the fun things the bottom five gets to do is pile on. So at number four let's go with Ole Miss. Leading 17-0, they collapse and lose to Arkansas 29-24. "We're close," says coach Nutt. Yep, but close only counts with atom bombs or some such thing. So No. 4 goes to Ole Misses!
3. There is fierce competition for number three: MN, CO and KS scream out for attention. Pick me! Pick me! So I will go with all three as Number three! Helpful tidbit: combine the three schools letters and you get SOCKSM which is what the other teams have been doing to these guys. So Number three is a tie to Golden Gofurs; the Buffaloed and the Jaywalkers!
2. See number one.
1. It is rare to award both the number one and two slots to one team, but friends we are witnessing a season for the ages. NM gives up boatloads of points and scores no points. So let's put the O at number 2 and the D at number one. I fear to think what happens when the Lobos play BSU at BSU...
Miscellany. World Series has taught us that while it is good not to have an A-hole on your team, it does help to have a Pujols on your team.
I'm no expert but the Colts appear to be in line to draft...Andrew Luck....
The Raiders do not know how to draft or trade. Period. But Al in the sky Davis would even be scratching his head over the Carson Palmer trade: Dude is 8-23 with three picks (one a pick 6) and that was just in the second half. The first halk saw a different QB throw three picks, one of them a pick 6.
Cheers!
