Annual Series with Idaho-State?

Guy has a lot of respect/admiration for Bronco and BYU. He's one of the coaches I would love to have my boys play for.

As long as it's in provo every year.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... HELL NO. Any Sub-div game is a waste, waste, waste... I'd rather add a top 10 program, get a shot or try to prove ourselves. As a matter of fact, a loss to a top team in which game we played well is better than a Idaho state win...

I'd rather have an ISU game on the schedule were BYU can rest than a bye week. Might as well have an easy game, rest some guys and keep the team hungry.

And it's a chance to get guys live reps they wouldn't otherwise get.

Play them again this year. We could play another game since we go to hawaii this year.

LOL. Agreed. That game was painful to watch. We can to an ISU yearly game if we join the Big12...but basically, the teams we have and will play are as bad as advertised.

I say if we are gonna play FCS schools. get four and rotate them every 4 years at our place. ISU, Weber State, E. Washington and perhaps SUU.

I'd love it as home and home. I don't live that far from the mini dome and it's a great place to watch football.

What was so painful about the game? I actually enjoyed the game, it was fun to see the 2's and 3's on the field and get them some playing time.

Seriously? With everyone dogging on Tom Holmoe and his lack of scheduling prowness, they would think he would screw it up and have a 2 for 1 in Idaho St's favor. :bug:

Seriously though, no, I don't want ISU on the schedule, it's a waste of a game (Iowa St. that is, Idaho St. would be even worse).

I know your 2 for 1 comment is TIC, but ISU wouldn't want a 2 for 1 in their favor--they make a lot more money traveling to Provo.

If the plan really is exposure BYU should schedule only lower division schools that have very large student populations that wouldn't otherwise be exposed to the church (ie schools from the south or midwest). I would love for BYU to play some historically black colleges too. They could do a lot to set straight some misconceptions. I mean how much more would it cost to play Bethune-Cookman or Southern? And is that worth the money for the publicity? I'd say it is money much better spent than paying Idaho State no matter what we think of the coach.
