5 Tweets Per Half?

Does anybody know what the deal is with BYU allowing media members something like five tweets per half of a game? I've heard it referenced a few times on local radio, and seen opposing teams' media members complaining about it at LES on twiiter. At first I thought it was a joke, then I realized it was actually a rule they have in place.



Does anybody know if this is an actual BYU guideline or the reasoning behind it? The only thing I can think of is that BYU feels like they owe it to their sponsors to keep the viewership's attention on the actual game as opposed to glued to twitter during the game.

I'm guessing the reasoning is BYU doesn't want media members without broadcast rights to essentially be giving a play-by-play. Considering BYU left the MWC over re-broadcast rights - among other things - it seems to reason they'd be even more protective of their live broadcast rights.

Honestly do not care. Twitter is lame.

How did JJ lose yards on first down but now it's 2nd & 7? Nice to see when criticizing Twitter you manage to take a shot at player you're not fond of.

Maybe there was a 5 yd penalty on the defense for 1st and 5, so losing 2 yds puts you at 2nd and 7. Pretty obvious isn't it? ;)

Oh please. I like JJ fine.



It's obvious as pointed out by BYULV, that Riley Nelson drew them offsides for 5 yards then JJ ran for a loss.



I was just pointing out, that I don't want to hear about 2 yard gains or losses on twitter.
