Matt Putnam- Looks good.

It's too bad that this guy couldn't keep his grades where they needed to be, he's been playing so well since he got back on the field. He had a tipped pass agaisnt SJSU and then he tipped the ball that Tree intercepted, he recovered a fumble. We've playing well as a D-line this year, but man he is really good. How many times do you see a D-lineman at 6'6" 270 running down on Kick coverage? Not very often, thats for sure. He had quite a few tipped passes last year as well, he's so good about getting his arms in the air when he doesn't get to the QB, I think he tipped 3 passes against the :utard: last year, lets also not forget his tipped pass and interception against UCLA as a frosh in '08. He's a good player I'm glad to see him back on the field!

the dude is ginormous.... At the start of the game I was looking at the coverage team, saw Ziggy and thought "Wow, that guy is big" and then I saw Putnam and thought "wait, THAT guy is big!"

I have always seen great potential in Putnam, I had him as a starter this year...until he wasn't even in fall practice. He was the only Dlineman last year, in my opinion, who could get to the QB, and he did a few times.

When our DL got tired Vs Texas it sure would have been nice to have one more guy in the rotation. Same thing for Utah.
