Sorenson and kickoffs

Short kicks all of the sudden, is this strategic or is he just missing the ball? Insight?

I think he's choosing between airing it out to the 5-10 yard line or hitting a line drive into the end zone. More yards back, or more time for the team to run down. Either way, Too short for my liking.

Agreed. The yewts had a great kicker who could loft it and get it all the way to the end zone. Spotting a team 5 yards and then letting them get a head start has changed the starting yard line for the offense.

I think this was a strategic plan to change and eliminate the out of bounds kicks. Problem is, teams are exploiting us. I think he should go back to kicking it deep into the endzone and we occassionally put up with an o.o.b. kick.

He's looked better at home, even when he did more of a line drive kick today it only went a couple yards or so into the end-zone.

thinner air makes a difference on kickoffs too.

Still didn't have any touchbacks against SJSU.

But if I'm remembering correctly, there were kicks that went 5-6 yards into the end-zone that they brought out anyway.

Based on how far his kick offs where going, Bronco never should have had him try two 50 yard+ field goals.

As my friend said, maybe that spider bite is finally kicking in...
