Hawaii vs SJSU

Hawai's losing to SJSU... wasn't Hawaii supposed to be better than that? :whistle:

They have like 6 turnovers so far. They are lucky to still be in it.

Sounds like Jet Lag. UNLV killed them on a previous mainland trip. They will play much tougher here. And, they may get in synch in the 2nd half - unless they don't.



And, SJSU is a good offensive team and creates a lot of turnovers. Ask Bronco. That was our scouting report on these guys.

10 turnovers in the game, 5 in the first half by Hawaii (plus one more in the second half), followed by 4 in the second half by SJSU...

Have I ever seen a game with so many turnovers?

This is just such a strange game... Hawaii just had a PAT blocked and returned for a 2 point conversion.

A fumble by SJSU.... 6th turnover by SJSU. 12 turnovers in the game.

Touchdown SJSU with 36 seconds left! Wow! Too bad the camera work was so shoddy you couldn't even see the play.

And ESPN blows it by not being on game cam for the go-ahead TD!

HA HA, how about that.



SJSU has looked terrible, but the fact they only gave up 27 points with that many turnovers speaks volumes about their defense.



And I loved the ESPN/MWC camerawork.

I watched the entire game. Absolutely crazy. Hawaii should have started their 3rd string waterboy at qb and they woulda won!

SJSU is the worst team since the first pig was skinned.

SJSU DBs did a good job get those picks.

It will be interesting to see the contrast when Hawaii plays USU in Hawaii - if there is a contrast. But they generally do play much better at home - much like BYU plays much worse after they jet lag on over here to play UH at midnight or so Mtn TIme.



Time zone is the opposite for this game. I was still at work, and the game was almost over by the time I realized it was even on. I am still at work - better go home and walk the dog.

I've been telling everybody since last weekend - USU wins the WAC. I'm 80% sure of it. Hawaii plays better at home but I still think they lose. Nevada's having a down year and Fresno hasn't been the giant-killer they used to be in quite some time now.

This could easily happen. They may have been blessed by getting left out of the MWC. Now if they quit playing road games at Auburn, BYU, etc. they may end up the next BCS Buster. It could happen. Not that they would totally deserve it - like Hawaii a few years ago - but it could happen. I have always said that I would rather play teams like Auburn when it counts - in a bowl game.

SJSU showed that they are resiliant and can come back in the last minute to win in a very tight game. Their offense (469 total yards - 366 passing, 103 rushing) when they don't turn it over is very talented. WRs Grigsby, Jones, TE Otten, RB Rutley and QB Faulkner will be playing at the nest level on Sunday. All would play serious minutes for our team if not start. Their offense was a very good test for our defense, and what we learned from them will be an advantage when we play OSU. SJSU will give a lot of teams trouble this year and I believe may make it to a bowl game if they cut down on the turnovers.
