Big East looking toward Boise St?

I guess they decided with getting into Texas not working out, why not go even farther west to Idaho?

The Big East will have a Western division. The question is whether they keep BCS status and if BYU is a part of it.

The MWC used to be BYU, utah, and TCU as the 3 teams to beat. the WAC was all about Boise state. Now utah is in the Pac 12, TCU is in the Big 12 and Boise state looks to be in the Big east/west. While BYU is all going to be waving their independant pom pom's saying. YAY! WE ARE INDEPENDANT WE HAVE FREEDOM and we all will be watching from the outside of the BCS saying "just think, if we go undefeated for 15 years in a row, we MAY be able to play a BCS game. :blush: :~( :sick: :sulk: :roll:

If we go undefeated once, we will play in a BCS Bowl. We B the only BCS Buster other than Hawaii still around the way this is all headed.

Like Hawk just said, I think there's just as many question marks around Big East membership as there is around independence.



I always thought of them, football-wise, as "the MWC of the East," with better parity among the middle-to-lower-tier teams but not as much dominance by the upper-tier teams. And that was back when Pitt and Syracuse part of it. In terms of consistent success, they got WVU, and that's it. And WVU is a frequent name in realignment speculation as is.



The Big East is in a position where they're going to have to build an AQ conference largely out of non-AQ pieces. I'm not sure they can pull it off.

what is sad about that is even if our record is better than hawaii, they get the the non aq aq bid. we can only get the at large.
