He should. They have a very good soph starter with Joe Montana's son a RS Freshman as back-up. Every team needs a third stringer. Montana beat Heaps in high school in a game where Heaps struggled against a very good defense featuring Zac Stoudt.



This should have been the first red flag - struggling bs a good defense.

No public comments. Just some radio guys speculating here with no info to back it up. Usual muckraking. Heaps father in law played for BYU as well, so has family ties here.



Not buying though. If he were to transfer, UW makes zero sense. I think he sticks it out. Has good relationship with his OC. Short term issues is all. He came in same time as Montana did at UW, and that guy has sat without issue. Jake needed a RS last year, but did not get it. Just needs time and will be fine.

Yes. He had multiple sacks on Heaps.

Yes he was, I watched that game and Alani Fua was the most dominant player on his team. The best player on the field was Kasan williams though, it wasn't even close.
