Auburn acquitted of all Cam Newton-ness

We here on this board were certain Auburn would get something pretty severe based on the charges and rumors of who and what was involved in the whole Cam-purchase scandal.



I heard boosters, and administrators were getting money from some pretty shady (think las vegas) places and that this was as big a scandal as it gets. I heard death penalty and all kinds of punishments...



and now, all gone. Congrats Auburn. you pulled a fast one and got away with it.

Part of me hates myself for this, but now that Cam is in the NFL, I just can't loathe him anymore. In fact, when he had those back to back 400-yard games or whatever, I thought, "hey, that's cool, he might actually be an NFL QB."



Auburn's a different story.

Not necessarily acquitted. There is no double jeopardy in NCAA proceedings. If new info comes to light they'll punish these evil wrong-doers for all of the terrible injustice they have committed.



Come on. They had no credible witnesses and there was no money trail. What did you expect? What is ridiculous and pathetic is that the NCAA somehow got hold of tax paperwork for the Newtons. Now that is just sad.

I never understand people who take bribes by check, take houses, or anything else that leaves a money trail. Seriously, take your cash and build a planter around it in the back yard.

I know I'd funnel the cash through my trash collecting/landfill operation. One of the more practical things I learned in law school was how to launder money (thank you RICO course!)...

WE will never have those issues because Bronco does not love his 5* or 4* players all that much really, and does not know how to handle them all that well once they get here. He rather have a roster full of Rudy's, and no one will pay Rudy to come. So BYU is pretty safe.



Our biggest threat is having people try to feed players too often, and bringing over a casserole or green jello too much.
