Speaking of QB's....

I wish BYU's QB was Baylor QB Robert Griffin III. The guy is absolutely amazing. His season stats so far:



115/143 - 1520 yds - 19 TD - 1 INT - PER 214



Wow. Only 28 incomplete passes all year and an 19:1 TD to INT ratio. Wish he was at BYU right now. :)



Add to that his season rushing stats:



60 carries 280 yds and 2 TD



Not bad either.

OK - I will bite. What was his PER during that time that they patiently waited for his POTENTIAL to show up in results on the field? How low and how long?

Did he red shirt?

He was injured (ACL - I think) his sophmore year, and granted a medical redshirt. Started his freshman year. Kid had always been a stud. Has a great WR in Kendall Wright as well. Briles has done wonders at Baylor, just as he did at Houston.



By all accounts, RGIII is a great kid. Really fun to watch.

RGIII has always been a solid QB. His PERs:

2011: 230.3

2010: 144.2 (five of 13 games above 136 PER, 1 game below 100)

2009: 142.9 (injured in game three, one game above 136 PER)

2008: 142.0 (seven of 12 games above 136 PER, 2 games below 100)



RGIII never struggled anywhere near the level BYU QBs have struggled. He certainly never had a stretch of bad games that he had to work through on the field. He was a stud from the word go. (A stud on the playing field, not in W/L)
