CougarbibYou all know that I believe accountability is a big part of leadership. FOr example - you don't leave your coaches open to criticism about why they called a deep pass in an inappropriate situation - when they didn't. This is one of the things I like about Riley. He explains a lot about what he saw, called and does when things go well and when they do not. It gives insight into how a QB thinks during theheatof battle. SO with Riley - If you wonder "WHat was he thinkin?" He will probably tell you.

"It was a called [pass play], but I went outside the read. I felt, because we had gotten the first down and went right into hurry up, and I felt like we could catch them off-guard. It wasn't the right decision. We were driving the ball, we came out in the second half and we were really running it well, and we were driving the ball, and right there, you stay within the read, and take the easy throws, the throws that you have done a million times. So I didn't do that. I thought, that, like I said, catch them off guard, while we were in that hurry up. Obviously, it backfired."
