regarding the espn rights and fox news rights and how byu creates complications there.

SpiffCougSeems to make sense. Also would give reason why things haven't happened yet if there are issues that can't be quickly resolved.

Fox says, "yea, that's cool"... Thus the TCU invite. You guys were choice number one all along.
I think you are going to have to give up your ESPN TV deal one way or another before this whole drama can move forward. It's been said that BYU won't financially go into the red at any time, so your options are limited. Somebody is going to have to buy your way out of your ESPN deal before you can proceed. If the Church won't let you use Tithe funds to cover it or go into debt, you might be stuck. That is... unless the B12 floats you for a bit... Thus your "high maintenance" moniker
