Weren't there multiple sources out there that said TCU was not being considered for the B12? That UT would never allow them to come in? Other sources that said BYU was in? I think the situation is so fluid there is only conjecture and we can put only limited value in those insiders we feel have a level of credibility.

What I think we have learned:

Leaks saying that a school is no longer being considered or is no longer 1st choice means that negotiations are very hot and one side is trying to influence the other side to finalize the deal.



Leaks saying that a school is a lock are a smokescreen trying to influence the real target that they need to play ball and get a deal done.



BYU "insiders" are just as clueless as the rest of us.



Media members are frustrated that they can't get info from BYU "insiders".



BYU's official statement hasn't changed in the past month.



It might be easier to get an interview with Gaddfi as compared to Tom Holmoe.

I've been following things pretty closely on ESPN, and from everything I've read on that website and big 12 blog, they also originally indicated that TCU was not really on the table due to objections from Texas and possibly others. However, when they brought in the new interim Big 12 commissioner, they started to have new meetings, and the reports from one of those meetings was that there was agreement to begin considering additional teams from Texas, where as before it was pretty much off the table.
