TCU to Big 12

Today. Wow.

And the dominoes start to fall...

We're screwed if Missouri stays. I think we are lucky to get in as number 12 now with Missouri gone. Either way the remaining Big East teams might jump to the Big 12 leaving no room for a western expansion of the league.

I can't wait to see what everyone's "inside sources" do to save face now.

It seems like were always "screwed" no matter what we try. Still no word from Provo. I wish TH would speak to the fact if we are solid and not going if that is what comes about. This just doesn't make a lot of sense to what has been leaked as there was a time just very shortly that TCU had dropped off the list of potential schools, then they were added, but during that whole time, supposedly BYU was on the list. We've been bypassed by an inferior school, so it's now hard to expect an invitation unless the Big 12 is expanding further.



This just all sucks and I just had a notion once again that nothing good would come out of all of this.



The Big East is now screwed royal as it had been pointed out that they HAD to have TCU as far as meeting the AQ qualifications, so unless the BCS decides to change that, I don't know what they are going to do.



All along BYU sits there without a word.

This was just announced on ESPN as well

Only CBS is reporting this and the source is a tweet from an Austin American Statesman contributor. Could be someone is pulling our chain and we are all so jumpy about this we'll believe anything.

Just about every reputable sports media outlet is reporting it. I'd say its a certainty at this point.

Everybody calm down. This is probably good for byu. if we denied an invite or didn't get one it still appears the big12 will stabilize which means independence still works.



also big 12 is not finished. i would be my life that missouri is all but gone. then for those who want big12 most still believe that byu is in at that point.



For those who want byu in big12 i wouldn't lose hope or come to conclusion yet because i am quite certain that missour is leaving to the sec. the stars are aligned for that. i would be shocked if it doesn't happen.



at that point i believe one more team will be added and big12 will stop at ten (which i think is a mistake). byu may be that team.



tcu could avoid the 27 month notice i believe becuase they weren't in yet. byu doesn't have that problem. the only way big12 gets back to ten next year is if mizzou stays or byu is added.

What this means right now, is there was a leak in the AD dept at TCU and we haven't had one in BYU's AD dept.

Still, TCU is a good fit, and it's what TBoone wanted. Now we'll see if Texas gets what it wanted (BYU)
