President Monson Late to Conference

Did you guys notice that President Monson was late to the Saturday morning session? Like. Really late.



To make matters more interesting, he walked in with a security detail who stuck around for the entire session standing around him. Didn't see them in later sessions, but it sounds like an interesting story that we'll never know any more about. Unless of course...someone has an "inside source".

He was signing the Big12 contract.

I didn't notice it but some friends did. Maybe if Joseph had have had those guards he could have come out here. Of course what happened was supposed to happen.

Good point. Jonathan Browning's slide actions rifles might have made a difference.

Elder Zwick was at our stake conference (sidenote: to release president Rockwell--Porter's descendent), and told us the story. Preident Monson came directly from the hospital to the conference, then returned to have a pacemaker put in the day after. So, there you have it, indirectly from an "inside source"!
