Before we even got to the end, wife says, "How does he get away with that great hair at BYU?"

Hair that goes beneath the collar is the issue. It's pretty close though. He might be needing/getting a hair cut this week.

As I was watching the game today, in a relax mode, as opposed to last night, I was thinking the very same thing. I was wondering if the hair standards had changed that much since I went to BYU.

The HC office can be all over the place. Really depends on who you talk to there. Some will literally apply mission standards and others don't care that much.

After his postgame interview, I passed Nelson as he was about to walk into the BYU locker room and joked with him that his hair was getting a bit long, by BYU standards. He said that's the first thing BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said to him after congratulating him for leading the comeback win.

Above the collar, and also hair can't cover the ears (for boys).
