But it sure feels nice to be right.



Riley Nelson can run the BYU offense. He can have a great PER. He can drive the field. He's won every scrimmage game and now beat his old team.



To be honest I almost thought Doman put him in too late to save the game but he came through.

Ahhh had BYU's WR not stepped up we would have lost, had they NOT dropped 2 TD's from HEAPS, we would not have needed a come back in the 4th.

But that's the thing. Those plays weren't made for Heaps. They haven't been made all year for Heaps. But then in the 2nd half they were being made. What changed?

Lets see, we had the same offensive line who doesn't give 4 or 5 seconds of blocking time. Running backs who can't run anywhere, and when they do they fumble the ball. We saw passes hit receivers on the hands and be dropped.



But what was Nelson's PER?

Heaps wasn't even putting the ball in a place for his receivers to make plays. Don't give me this dropped pass bull. He repeatedly over throws his receivers on every route imaginable. Nelson at least put the ball where his receivers could catch it. That's the difference between the two.

If I had to climb a ladder for ever pass and all of a sudden one hit me in the numbers, I wouldn't know what to do either.

I was driving up to Provo from Calif. when the game started. I was listening on a scratchy AM station & dying. I arrived in time to watch the 2nd half. Whooo Hooo! What an ending! I nearly turned it of after the JJ fumble - despair & dejection.



I think the Cougs have found a Quarterback. 8)

The broken record thing is getting old. Why aren't you mentioning the two passes that USU defenders dropped as well?



The difference was that Nelson played with heart and the team bought into him. Heaps has less leadership than the tag on a deacon's boxers, and that's the difference. Nelson made guys dig deeper than they do for Heaps, because they respect him and follow him.

This. And sure handed Kariya dropped a Riley pass. And we missed a Riley field goal. And a JJ fumble on the 30 killed a Riley drive, and a punt that should have been caught at the 30 rolled to the 4, and Riley Nelson made plays instead of excuses.
