WEIRDEST GAME EVER

That was the weirdest game I have ever seen. Period. Win on a tipped pass? Have a lefty running QB throw 2 touchdowns? Jacobson catches a long ball while covered? What is going on here? The offense basically reinvented itself once Riley came out. Tonight is now officially one of my favorite games ever. It was like a ridiculous rollercoaster! Weird stuff. But hey, I'll take a win every time ;)

The rushing the field thing was really embarrassing--rushing the field should be reserved for beating top 10 teams, not Utah Freaking State.

Yes and No. If we had dropped that game (and we were certainly on our way towards it) our season would have been in shambles. USU is definitely better now than they were even two years ago so it's not the same as if we had squeaked one out in 2009. That said, I don't think we can go back to saying that USU isn't a 'real' rival anymore. If we win another 10 straight, maybe, but not until then.

Because it was thiiiiisclose to an absolutely epic fail. (i.e. losing badly to USU in LES after losing to them the previous year, and losing badly at that, would have been an epic fail).



Rushing the field this time should not be a celebration of how good the team is. Rather it's just a celebration for how much worse it could have been, but isn't. You think it's shameful to rush the field after losing to USU? I wouldn't trade it for the W (which was almost a moot point anyway).
