Heaps seemed to get some confidence late in the 1st half. Receivers are still not getting open or catching the tightly contested balls. Our D needs to worry less about going after Keeton and more about not letting him out of the pocket.

Why is it that ever teams qb looks better than Heaps? A freaking freshman qb is once again out playing Heaps.

Third and two inside the 15 and not even play action? Ugh and argh

When does the Heaps experiment end? The players are bored and frustrated. The fans are bored with nothing to get excited about. Bronco looks like he's falling asleep. And the ESPN announcers are trying to find anything they can to talk about because these teams are so anemic.

Heaps does markedly better when Apo is out. When Apo is in, Heaps goes into tunnel-vision mode and stares at him like a 10 year old with his first Playboy. When Apo is out, Heaps is forced to look for the open receiver, not just his homeboy.



Accuracy still leaves much to be desired and third down passing is still miserable.

I don't think the receivers have any confidence in Heaps anymore. I don't see them making sharp cuts or coming back to the ball with purpose. Plus there is zero emotion from them out there. It looks like the offense (except for the RB's who are playing hard) is just going through the motions because they know they suck. jmo

I hate to say it but I think I in with ya on this one. Send him down to the scout team as a halfback to toughen him up a bit. He just isn't ready for prime time. Maybe when he's a senior he will be but we aren't doing him any favors leaving him in there.



Time to let someone else take the ball.

I agree with that kind of. It is certainly the case with Jacobsen. I have seen some lazy routes and effort from him. I've also seen him jawing going off the field and even jawing to coaches. I don't know about Apo or Hoffman...



If someone isn't giving effort, you bench them. Until they want to play again.

Jawing = frustration because McKay has regressed ever since his Freshman year.

Let me be more clear:



They need to run plays at/to the TE more.



Heaps needs to pass it to them more, but how many 2 TE sets do you see? Or TE's out for passes.

I give up the D is sucking it up now
