Tonight's Wild Predictions

My predictions:



BYU 38- USU 14.



The bench Jake Heaps bus will get a flat tire. Heaps has an excellent game. He will pass for over 300 yards and will throw 3 TD/I INT.



We will see the first TD reception of Heaps career by a TE and by a RB tonight.



Robert Turbin will be held to 70 yards rushing and will be the one bright spot of their offense.



Kavenga will cause a fumble.



Keeton will have negative rushing yards when running to Van Noy's side of the field.



Keeton will score a rushing TD.



Keeton will convert 3rd and long by scrambling more than two times tonight.



USU's other TD will be set up by Heaps interception.



Sorensen will attempt a field goal > 50 yards.



Hoffman will have two receptions for > 30 yards.



Keeton will leave the field due to an injury.

BYU 27-13. the offense plays better than it has and turns a corner.

Defensive scores are the margin of victory tonight.

BYU 21 Utah State 16.



Utah State scores a safety.



Utah State rushes for a season low.



Heaps's PER is above 100. I predict 102.



Kariya has a breakout game, rushing for over 100 yards and two TDs.



Austin Holt doesn't catch a TD pass.



Corby Eason gets a pick six! Yeah baby!

USU back up QB will see the field - it seems inevitable this season.



Other than that I don't know what to expect.



Special Teams will be spectacular like last week unless they are not like other weeks

Defense will be dominant, unless they get fatigued and demoralized as they have at times

Offense will be completely out of synch - unless Heaps rises to 85% of his potential which calculates to 136 PER based on POTENTIAL of 160.

30-17. Offense scores 3 TDs, one set up my a TO. 2 FGs. And D plays solidly.



I look for a TD pass to a TE or RB tonight for Jake. First of his career to a TE or RB.

An old pioneer custom recorded in journals used by BYU players today will be brought to light by the gal on the sidelines. Probably something like using the blood of a slaughtered chicken to enhance speed on the field-----that or drinking pickle juice.

BYU's record with a PER between 97 and 107 since 1997 is 4-12. If BYU is only at 102 PER, we're going to be hard pressed to win.
