Tough game to watch last night. The refing was consistently bad. Some of the calls were real head scratchers. I am not sure they dictated the course of the game, but they certainly hurt BYU at least. Where the game was won, I think, was with San Francisco’s defense. They were the better team. This season will be defined as what if season. What if Harwood and Baxter had stayed healthy? This team would have gone farther. The season will also be defined as one of surprises, both pleasant and not so pleasant. The emergence of Traore was a pleasant surprise. The erratic and drop off in performance of Lohner and Knell was disappointing. We often didn’t know what we would get out of George was disconcerting too.
