Lest we forget it is Pearl Harbor day. We made it through that, I hope we can continue to be a free nation.

Thoughts and prayers.

To all who have never had the chance to visit the USS Arizona Memorial, please if you get the chance, do so. It will touch you.

The USS Arizona should be a mandatory pilgrimage for all Americans.

I was told that the Arizona/Pearl Harbor tour was really affecting and that the feeling of reverence there was palpable. Then when we went, it was filled with a huge group of obnoxious schoolchildren and I didn't feel anything. It was still interesting, but having a bunch of doofuses (doofi?) who didn't respect the place definitely made it harder to soak in the experience like I wanted to. So maybe best to limit it as a mandatory pilgrimage to people who are mature enough to not smash other kids' faces into the glass and make loud jokes about bodily functions.
