BYU's next head coach is gaining additional experience

Paul Peterson is the new head football coach at Dixie State. Dixie is heading to D-1 as a member of the WAC. I still like Hill, but he's probably the new HC at Utah St.

It's being reported that Gary Anderson will be the new HC at Utah State.

BYU wants to schedule like a P5 program but get it's "next head coach" from the DII ranks?

I realize they all have to start somewhere but, unless Peterson is the next Urban Meyer in training, that's not going to work.

Look at how well HC's from the FCS do when going to a P5 vs a coordinator from a P5 school and you'd be surprised.

Now I'd much rather find a great coach from a Sun Belt, CUSA or AAC, or even better a PAC or B12 team and hire them as HC but I don't see that happening unless Anae takes a HC position there.
