To be fair, a few major injuries cost BYU badly the 2nd half of the season. Just compare the two Utah scores.hawkwing wrote:This has been BYU's story this year, pretty good and exciting at times but ultimately too flashy and too little substance.

That's a very valid point, BYU never could recover from those injuries.Mars wrote:To be fair, a few major injuries cost BYU badly the 2nd half of the season. Dean our star freshman who is out said he will be back next year and should be recovered by then. He is out for NCAAS if we get there. We will know about that on Monday.

The #2 pitcher at the beginning of the season got hurt for the year within the first week. The #3 pitcher was having a great year and went down for the year halfway through. On top of that, two other key pitchers also spent long amounts of time out with injuries. You would be hard-pressed even to find an MLB team that could survive that kind of devastation to the pitching staff. BYU did pretty well overall considering all that.hawkwing wrote:That's a very valid point, BYU never could recover from those injuries.Mars wrote:To be fair, a few major injuries cost BYU badly the 2nd half of the season. Re: Baseball 2016
I would think Clawson will enroll in school. Of course I don't know him personally. But 34th round doesn't bring enough signing bonus money to be worth it, IMO, and you'd have to think playing baseball in college is way more fun than in the lower level of the minors making $1000 a month. It shouldn't be that hard for a player good enough to be drafted to improve that draft position by quite a bit in a few years.scott715 wrote:
BYU will be better next year if the injured guys all come back.
