Re: Baseball 2016
Yeah, BYU whooped up on Utah! 14-3 final score! My boss is taking notice of BYU baseball and even watched part of the game last night! I like this from our coach:
"We don't understate the fact that Utah is a big game for us," Littlewood said. "We're not afraid to say this is a huge game, maybe the biggest one on the schedule, and we have to win this game because that's the way we feel. Maybe if we shy away from it, then we don't have as much emotion."
"life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it." - Charles Swindoll

I think for sure
Rucker

Lund
Anyone else?

Who is eligible? Do they have to be a junior or a certain age? I don't remember the rules. The coach said that he think Rucker will be gone.

Re: Baseball 2016
BYU's bats have abandoned them. Their pitching was never that strong and now the bats aren't compensating. BYU baseball is returning to the lowly level at which they usually perform.

Re: Baseball 2016
This post may have been a bit premature. I was watching the game and something told me not to give up on them, even after they fell behind 4-0 in the 9th inning. Watching the 5-run 9th was the most fun I've had watching Cougar Sports in a while. Never say die!SpiffCoug wrote:BYU's bats have abandoned them. Re: Baseball 2016
Players can be drafted right out of HS. For players who choose to go to college the MLB then has to wait two years before they are again eligible to be drafted. So basically, anyone who just finished their sophomore year or older can be drafted. A lot of times sophomores will choose to stay in school. Juniors usually go because they lose a lot of leverage in their contract negotiations if they wait until they're a senior.scott715 wrote:Who is eligible? Do they have to be a junior or a certain age? I thought it was three years in college if you were drafted out of HS but decided to go to college.
