My point was, BYU does not fire coaches without good cause. Not now. Crowton may have gotten away with forcing Bosco out, but that is not happening now, absent coach issues. Crowton also got to force Schmidt into retirement. Crowton also had to ask his assistant with drug and alcohol issues to walk(Borich--due to brain trauma issues). What is the commonality here? And how did that tenure go again? The staff we have now are good citizens, so they are here as long as they want to be. They are good coaches as well. This team is better than last year, and they have improved. Bronco will not fire any of them because our community values loyalty and tenure. I do not think Holmoe would let him fire anyone anyway. Certainly the trustees would not, absent good cause.
