P6 Will we Ever Join a Power Conference?

We are waiting for an invite or for major chaos to open a door for us. Chances are really slim. Perhaps we should change course and work to make it happen.

TH should call AAC and offer to join their conference right now. We could get a good game or two added to our schedule now. The championship game would be #8 vs #9. The best games would be SEC and ACC. We would change the BIG10 and surpass the BIG12 and PAC12. Winner very much in the discussion for the playoff. Loser has a chance at NY6. The game would be great defense vs great offense. Would ESPN chip in some money to make this happen?

The push would be to create P6 and push our way into the cartel. Right now is the best time and chance to get in and not be on the bottom. Next year would be critical to cement our place. It would require excellent PR and media to make it work. Get the country to accept our place at the table.

I don't see it happening. The AAC won't gain P6 recognition and it would be viewed as short-term manipulation of the system for credibility which they won't get.
