BYU finished 1st, 3rd and 4th in the race and currently sit in 2nd place among all the teams (mens) because of it, with 21 points. Tomorrow they will likely pick up more points in the 3000M Steeplechase where they have 4 highly rated runners participating in the finals, along with the 5k and possibly in the 1500M. Still have a shot at the team title.

I just watched it on Youtube. It was great to hear the chant, "BYU, BYU" by the BYU faithful most times when they went by. The last lap was amazing. Kigen came up on Young's side and into the turn they went, young keeping him on the outside. When they got to the home stretch Young pulled away and finished about 10 yards in front of the courageous Kigen who was also giving it his all. In a way anyone who can run that far that fast is a winner. There was a lot of brotherly love shown at the end.
