I really hope that Baxter can stay healthy! I believe that he's also the last Rose era player left on the team.

In the BYUTV broadcast of the first evening practice, the coaches were gushing several times about this being the deepest squad that this group of coaches has had to work with. I find that hard to believe since the Childs/Haws/Toolson team was pretty deep and experienced. Still, if the coaches are willing to say it, then I'm ready to believe it.

Eh, this is what literally every coach says every year about their team. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about this team and I like Mark Pope, but don't put too much stock into "this is the best team I've ever had" or "the deepest team I've ever had." Rose said it year after year and so does everybody else.

It seems like we're lacking a little height on the team. Only 4 players taller than 6-foot-6.

I would be more worried about height is didn't have the beef.

Think about who is going to play

Lucas and Barcello are 190ish guards

Knight and Lohner is 230ish

George is 210.

And the concern is the getting some size in at center. Harward seems to be incapable of playing 30 minutes so we are going to need Baxter or someone to fill some minutes.
