Basketball Transfers - A Deeper Look
The NCAA itself has an interesting article:
http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/res ... basketball
https://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2018
I looked at the data across several years and teams so that there is some comparison to BYU's numbers:
From what I looked at I would not say that BYU has a high number of transfers.

Then there is this site which tracks players transfering between schools:National data indicate that many of today’s college graduates transfer at some point on their way to a degree. This is true among student-athletes (SAs) as well, and may be most visible in Division I men’s basketball (MBB)....about 40% of all MBB players who enter Division I directly out of high school depart their initial school by the end of their sophomore year.

Who left to where, and how did they contribute? Harrison, Carlino, Chatman, and Toolson were major contributors on their new teams, iirc. I don't know about those that left from the other teams you've listed. In addition, who were the replacements? Chatman for Bergeson ( or cannon, et al), for example, is a major loss.
