Oklahoma v Texas

Post by hawkwing »

Oklahoma strikes first, getting a field goal that bounces in after hitting the upright.

So far Texas' defense looks very fast and physical, though they've already given up almost as many yards in one drive as we did in the first half.

And Bradford goes out again.

Just a quick point, Oklahoma's defense is fast, they got right in the backfield on Texas and slammed the QB. I'm glad that BYU's oline, young as it was, was able to defend Hall.

I hope Bradford's injury isn't as serious this time.

Neither team can run the ball at all.
Colt McCoy looks terrible throwing as well.
In fact, the entire Texas offense looks poor. I wouldn't be afraid of BYU matching up with them in a potential bowl game at all right now...

Clawson's hit on Bradford was more powerful than the hit TX put on him that sent him out for the game.

B/c Texas is a 2nd half team this year, I was a bit scared when they put up 10 straight points coming into the second half... thank goodness OU was able to respond by putting together a decent drive and scoring to tie it back up at 13 a piece.

Unfortunately, Texas looks like they are going to at least score a field goal on their current drive...

A failed 4th and 1 attempt on the 50 and an interception in their own redzone hurting OU in the 4th...

And oh my goodness, deep in OU territory after they pick off Landry Jones, Colt Mccoy throws an intereception!
Gotta give the kid some credit... if he hadn't made the tackle, that OU player would have been returning that all the way.

All with 6 minutes to go in the 4th!

And on a first and 10 landry jones throws it right at a Texas player.

roughly 3:30 to go... unless Texas has a 3 and out, I think this one is unfortunately over...

I have no idea what Landy Jones was thinking with that last pick. On first and ten with absolutely no pressure coming, he just absolutely fails to see the defender sitting 3 yards in front of where he is throwing the ball. That's the kind of read you get benched for missing in Pop Warner.

Does it seem to me like this game had more balls on the turf than any other game not in a driving rain storm? I've never seen so many balls dropped.
