All I can say is 5.2 yards per carry for 287 yards rushing. My biggest worry for this game was BYU's defense and I was right. With a defense that stopped the run and got that running offense off the field, BYU wins this game big. +15minutes in time of possession for Coastal.

What a sickening display. CCU wanted it more. They played harder. Our O-line couldn't establish the run. Zach was running for his life much of the game. Lots of cutsie plays that didn't go anywhere. Their QB had all the time in the world. Kept faking us out with the option. They gashed us play after play, going up and down the field.
Maybe it's for the best. I never bought that this team was a Top 10. Somewhere in the Top 25, sure, but closer to 15-25 range. If not now, we would have just been embarrassed later had we made it to a NY6 bowl.
This is the life of a BYU fan and why I never let myself get too hopeful. Because it ends up being fool's gold. This is a game we should have won had we come to play. But we looked pathetic.

BYU averaged 6.2 yards per carry. The running game was not a problem. The biggest problem on offense was the play calling was too cute at times. (double pass on 4th and 1)

Oline couldn't pass block and they couldn't run block on 3rd down. And the dropped balls was something we haven't seen all year. The D line was owned by CCU. Just a complete lose from A to Z.
But the last play was fun, 2 yards, 2 short yards. It could have been one of those plays we are talking about 20 year from now. When Zack threw it I thought by how hard he was throwing it the receiver was going to be in the end zone for a touchdown and win. Just 2 short yards!
