Their Oline beat our Dline way more than our Oline beat theirs. We also never had an answer to their option pitch. GRomney dropped two balls, hard ones to be sure, but catches he has made this year. I Rex penalty in the 91 TD pass was a killer too. Sigh. Congrats to CC. They played a great game. And to think we were still two yards from winning it with all that.

I am so proud of this team. To do what they’ve done this year is memorable. And one I’ll not forget. We still have SDSU and then hopefully a bowl game yet to go!

Mistakes. Penalty here, dropped pass there, missed tackle ...
But over-all, it seemed that the Cougs couldn't get the rust out and got out coached.

It seems this game may have been a product of having too soft a schedule. When was the last time this team faced a challenge? Then in this game a feisty Coastal Carolina team stands up and challenges them and it seemed like BYU wasn't sure how to handle it. They didn't look like a poised, in control team nearly the entire game.

2 days prep time and cross country trip, two difficult situations to have to overcome. Defensive philosophy has always been to give up long drives without trying to hold the offense but rather wait for them to make a mistake or get impatient. With a patient and effective offense a defense that purposely avoids getting pressure in the back field will struggle, and that's exactly what we saw.

Our first play in the 2nd half should have been a sweep towards #94 with a pulling guard and tackle and both drive him into the ground and lay on him and then Allgeier runs over him stepping on his stomach as he goes by.
