Re: Calling my shot:
Mangum isn't the problem here. Coaching is. For crying out loud, in 15 Mangum looked like the next BYU great and now it is his fault? So since our Sr looks bad under bad coaching, we need to throw our Freshman to the wolves. Plus, who is he going to throw to? Even Collie (the WR savior from Hawaii) has balls bounce off his hands. There simply is too much blame to go around to put it on the QB.

Mangum isn't THE problem, but he is A problem. No reason not to bench a guy that can't get it done to try the next man up.

Re: Calling my shot:
Injuries take their toll. Bosco wasn't the same his senior year, Hill wasn't as fast his senior year, and Mangum isn't the same this year. It's not his fault, but the freshman Mangum was physically--and consequently, mentally--better than the senior Mangum.

Re: Calling my shot:
I get no excitement from playing glorified D2 teams. I don't care to be the Utah state champ either. If you're not going to put your big boy pants on and play a Wisconsin, Fl State, or Oklahoma once in awhile you've got no business playing at all. Take your lumps and sometimes you'll get it all right and beat an Oklahoma or Texas. We should be able to beat most teams out there but if you schedule down no one will want your weak sauce.
Just my humble opinion.
Go Cougs! Beat Wisconsin!!!

Re: Calling my shot:
We played two middle of the PAC teams and went 1-1. That is better then playing a SJSU and killing them. It also helps with our SOS and got two good TV games. We could cut back on top 10 teams to only 1 a season.

Re: Calling my shot:
You mean bench the guy who is struggling because of the offensive line and horrible receiver play in order to put a freshman in there and let him get pummeled becuase of poor offensive line and receiver play. Ok, I get it.

Have you watched Tanner play this year? His problems go far beyond that.

Re: Calling my shot:
IF we get a defensive score and the offense crosses the 50 yard line my expectations will be met. I'm hoping for more, but no faith.
