He was a linebacker at BYU for the years, 1984-85, and 88-90.

I was a freshman in 1990. My intramural basketball team played the Poly footballers in our tournament. Alema set a pick on me that I can still feel. Like a wall.

Fitisemanu knew nothing about that tackle. He jumped, got hit and luckily landed on the runner. Great hit. Fun to watch. Completely unintentional by the tackler.
