Pitta = 1st Team All-American
Dennis was voted first team in the 2009 AFCA Coaches’ All-America Team announced Thursday by the American Football Coaches Association. Hughes was also first team.

What is with the two linemen from Oklahoma on this list? Their o-line was terrible.

This bodes well for the Mackey award. It means that people have been paying attention to Dennis outside of our obvious circle.
As for the OU linemen; I get Trent Williams on the team; he's a beast, it was the rest of the Oline that was awful.
The other lineman is not an OU player. He's from Oklahoma State, probably just a typo from usually reliable Jay Drew.

It should be no surprise that Pitta made it, I don't know of another tight end in the country having even remotely the kind of year he has had. Congrats to Pitta, Hughes and all the All-Americans.
