The rule does not apply to freshman who have signed national letters of intent, however. But schools with an interest in a USC junior or senior are allowed to initiate contact with the player, Osburn said.
STANLEY HAVILI... BYU IS ON THE LINE....
Bronco you can initiate contact.... get it done... You have Uona Kaveinga to use as a resource... get the word out
Get one starting defensive end, and one outside or middle linebacker and we're a top 15 team

You know, 2 months ago, I don't think Bronco would have considered it, but with Harvey gone and Uona Kaveinga in the fold, maybe Bronco is feeling a little more Christ-like and forgiving, no?

I said on another thread and I'll say it again. It would be an act of mercy to bring in those kids. Give them a chance to display their talents, play in games that matter, and experience an end goal to their seasons.Ddawg wrote:Whatever it is ....... make the call .... test the water ..... extend the offer ... get it done!!!!!snoscythe wrote:You know, 2 months ago, I don't think Bronco would have considered it, but with Harvey gone and Uona Kaveinga in the fold, maybe Bronco is feeling a little more Christ-like and forgiving, no?
The lies, greed, and deceit of others (including Pete Carroll) helped get them to USC; you certainly can forgive a kid for believing the hype at tha age. Now that the curtain has been peeled back, they have a chance to make an informed decision so you make those phone calls.
YOU MAKE THOSE CALLS.... nothing ventured , nothing gained and nothing to lose
a lot to gain, those kids get their college experience back, BYU gets depth and the MWC continues to strengthen

If USC suffers an exodus, they are dead for at least 7-8 years. Lane Kiffin now has to recruit his own players to get them to stay. Guess we will see how good of a recruiter he really is, won't we. And see how good the USC job really is as well. Sark was really smart to pass on it, and he is now poised to pounce, with his past USC connections.

Getting a couple of players from the late great USC would be cool, but do we even have schollies to give?

They'll find scholies for the likes of Havili and Tupou.
So, yes, there will be scholies available.

Sark can't take any USC transfers though. They can only transfer without penalty if they leave the conference but there is still the penalty if they want to stay in conference.

but that's a PAC -10 self-imposed restriction I believe. Which is as lame as the entire conference itself.gmj81 wrote:Sark can't take any USC transfers though. They can only transfer without penalty if they leave the conference but there is still the penalty if they want to stay in conference.
If they wanted to transfer to Texas, Oklahoma or Okie State though, better do it this week before they find themselves having to sit out a year.

Apparently Reno Mahe and Stanley Havili are cousins...
